This ocean mural is on the side of a fish market in West Charlotte.  The artist of this mural is unknown.  Its simplicity has attracted me to use it as a backdrop for a variety of tableau, portrait and still life images.  Sometimes the image centers around the ocean, and other times the ocean is merely secondary.  Maybe I am drawn to this mural as a reminder of my hometown on the coast.  The ocean is part of my identity, and this little mural acts as an oasis in a sea of concrete.
